It has been stated that Capture the Flag multiplayer game mode will be coming out in a future release. The main objective of Capture the Flag is for players to get the flag from the enemy and bring it to their own base. They also have to try and prevent the other team from stealing their flag.
The mode will include a blue and red flag and also a flag stand. A replica version of Minecraft Capture the Flag has been played on some multiplayer server. The replica uses coded signs, block formations, or added blocks instead of a flag. Others use colored wool to play the game. Chances are these version won’t be played once the official Capture the Flag game mode is released.
Many were disappointed that Capture The Flag wasn’t implemented in the full version of Minecraft. Notch however did mention that it may be added later.
