Apparently Planet Minecraft users Disco has some serious obsessive compulsive issues, which is actually a great thing for us because he created his OCD Texture Pack. This texture pack is wonderful for Minecraft players who don’t think the game is boxy enough. It gives the game a serious simplification overhaul with a bit of stylization to boot. There is absolutely no disorder in the OCD Texture Pack which makes it perfect for all our favorite obsessive compulsives out there!
Originally this texture pack was only compatible with the last version of Minecraft but it recently because 1.3.1 compliant and it started out as a personal project meant for Disco’s eyes only. When Disco uploaded a video of their Redstone creation onto YouTube they were shocked at all the attention they received and got busy making an OCD Texture Pack for the masses.
Right now the OCD Texture Pack is 90% complete and is default inspired. It features the following;
- Zero harsh colors
- No loud noises
- 90 degree angles only, even when it comes to grass and rails)
- Even spacing
- Emerald ore and block
- Jungle trees
- Language button
- Biome smoothing compatible
- OCD link to Pocket Edition
- Lots of color tweaking
- Completed terrain file for 1.3.1
- Brick texture tweaked
- Updated GUI
- Pig snouts

Player reaction to this texture pack on Planet Minecraft has been mostly positive, though many players have been urging Disco to compete the texture pack (in true OCD fashion) and recent updates have been made as recently as this week. The OCD Texture Pack is a creative pack and therefore is probably not great for survival mode, and the weapons and armor are a bit underwhelming but according to their PMC page this is being worked on.
What do you think of this texture pack? Will you placate the OCD in you by trying it out? Let us know in the comments!
