Ways to Make a Custom Map in Minecraft
Minecraft is a game best described as a survival, sandbox game. Players explore or remake the entire world as they see fit. In addition to the immense customizablitity of the main game are the additional custom and challenge maps that the Minecraft community have made available. There will never be a shortage of custom Minecraft maps.

The main method of customizing maps is during the main game. Players can mine and place every block above the bedrock. Thousands of youtube videos are dedicated to showing off how other players have customized their worlds.
The next most common type of custom map are the maps users make and upload to minecraft sites and forums. These include worlds dedicated to architecture, worlds with puzzles that must be solved, or even a small island floating in a void. These maps are copied over to the player’s server folder and played in multiplayer mode.
It is even possible to customize the entire Minecraft world with mods that add new biomes to the terrain generator, from graveyards to underwater cities. A word of warning though, these mods can break the game’s balance, making it either way too easy or way too hard. Remember to disable them when going back to using an original Minecraft world.
